Skye McCole Bartusiak was born on
September 28, 1992 in Houston, Texas to parents Donald Bartusiak
and Helen McCole. She started out her career by modeling at the
age of two and by the time she was four, began working in movies,
making her film debut in Stephen King's TV miniseries Storm
of the Century.
But it was playing Mel Gibson's daughter in the 2000
blockbuster The Patriot that put her on the map with her heart-wrenching
and
emotional scenes.
In 2001, Skye appeared as Young Norma Jean (Marylin
Monroe) in the TV miniseries Blonde, alongside Drew
Barrymore in Riding
in Cars with Boys and the kidnapped daughter of Michael
Douglas in
the thriller Don't Say a Word.
